Katie Nicholas
Founder
Katie’s been working in the hospitality and event industry for many years having management roles in 5 star hotels across the globe. From the Waldorf Hotel London, to The Regent Sydney and Anchorage Port Stephens, Katie’s seen the best….and not so best…. of weddings in some of the most sought after venues in the world.
Katie is naturally drawn to the wedding industry. It’s what prompted her to start Wedding Road. That, and booking 40 weddings in one year for a venue who’d never done weddings before. Watching her father build a successful business since she was a small child gave her the impetus to get Wedding Road off the ground.
There were better ways for venues to attract and deliver exceptional weddings.
Just as importantly, Katie loves connecting with the couples. Knowing how to meet and exceed their expectations is what makes a successful wedding.
Katie believes sharing her expertise with other will make the wedding industry stronger. You really are in the best of hands possible when it comes to all things wedding related.

Wedding Road has allowed us to focus on the overall business, without having the enormous amount of client care, expertise and administration required for Weddings. As we are a busy country club, able to cope with corporate, golf and social parties, we don’t have the diary space for sufficient weddings to justify a bespoke Weddings Specialist. Wedding Road makes everything appear seamless to our clients and has driven our sales without the cost of a full time in-house wedding coordinator. I don’t like to tell too many people as I would rather keep them to ourselves.
